We are recruiting Court of Protection Costs Specialist vacancy
The Role:
Become part of our team of costs lawyers/draftsmen, dealing with cases ‘cradle to grave’. Work would include preparing Bills of Costs withing agreed SLA’s, advising on likely recovery, reporting on assessment outcomes and advising on any ground of appeal.
You will be responsible for the management of your caseload, ensuring monthly targets and KPI’s are met.
Required:
Experience working as a Costs Lawyer/Senior Costs Draftsman handling your own Court of Protection caseload
Confidence and ability to work autonomously, working on files from start to finish
Keeping up to date with relevant case law and legislation
Experience with case and time management systems
Ability to meet target and necessary deadlines to adhere to agreed SLA’s
IT literate
Excellent communication, analytical and research skills with an ability to think outside the box
Teamwork with a ‘can do’ attitude
Desirable:
Literate with Office 365 and Costmaster (or similar software)
A flexible and committed approach to work
Willingness to bring fresh ideas and share knowledge across the team

Salary dependent on experience

Location
Our central office is based in Cambridgeshire with fee earners’ working locally and attending our offices, however we also offer fully remote positions. This is something that can be discussed upon application.
